A little after sunset, we saw a big group of lights along the horizon to the northeast. It was hard to tell exactly how many the way they lit up the clouds, but somewhere between seven and thirteen. Nothing on AIS, and we’re pretty sure we’d have noticed passing a big city, so our best guess is a big organized fishing fleet. Pirates would probably be stealthier.
Villa continues west in nice, consistent wind. Her crew is relaxing, reading and listening to audiobooks and watching movies. Everyone says the Caribbean is easy sailing, but this is by far the least we’ve ever had to do to manage the boat. Baked muffins and pizza yesterday.
