Testing testing, is this thing on?

We’re about to start our Pacific crossing, which means we’ll be out of touch for a while. We’ll use this to post some status updates as we go, but first, we’d better check that it works. The iridium doesn’t do pictures, which means there’s no editing between us and posting, so these updates will be essentially real time. We hope we can pull off once a day.
